This one is from a stunning, and strong, black & white image.

This is all one piece of wood, with just the one ‘hole’ in it for his left eye. Not really necessary but I like designing it that way.

This was then used to create the final wood-cut below.

It’s cut from 6 mm thick, pale, fine-grained baltic-birch plywood, on a 6 mm thick black background.
